Send and receive SMS from your restaurant - Android phone app
1. In order to activate this feature, go to: Android communications sms-app and download the app first.
You will need an android phone with version 8.1 or greater.
2. Go to Google Play to get the android app for ResEasy. Install and start ResEasy on your android phone.
Go to your Admin panel - Settings/About Restaurant and enable "Android Phone" in SMS Communications Channel drop down list and save.
You can also enable "Android Phone and SMS Service". In this instance, if android app is not running, the system it will attempt to send the text messages through the standard paid SMS service. In this case additional SMS charges will apply from ResEasy.
3. Open the Android Communications Server app on the android phone and login with your ResEasy email address and password.
Choose your restaurant from the dropdown menu and select
"Send messages on behalf of - for Send and Receive SMS"
Click on START SERVICE - Your android communications server is now running on your cell phone
3. Go to ResEasy Reservations or Wait List

Add a new reservation or waitlist and make sure you add the guest phone number using international format.
- (+1) before 10 digit area code for North America - +1-xxx-xxx-xxxx
- (+52) before the 10 digit code for Mexico - +52 xx xxxx-xxxx

Once you add the reservation or waitlist, the guest will receive the confirmation sms and it will show up in ResEasy.
You will be able to see the details in the chat box on ResEasy,
If you open the box, you can send additional messages and see the whole conversation with the guest.
Your can also see the text messages on the android cell phone.
